The problem
Habit apps either do too much or lock data away. I wanted a tracker that shares its account and database with Better Planner, so habits and plans live side by side.
My role
Sole developer.
What it does
- Daily habit check-ins with completion counts
- Weekly progress and a monthly trend chart
- Achievement badges
- Installable PWA with a daily reminder
Proof of use
- Used daily by me and one other person, with 30+ active habits between us.
- Migrated from Google Sheets to Postgres in August 2026 without losing history.
Technical highlights
- Shared a database without breaking its neighbour. It runs on Better Planner's Supabase project, with no schema changes on the planner side.
- Deliberately skipped Google sign-in. OAuth would have created a second user ID for existing email accounts, and row-level security would then hide all their habits.
